Several important high-level events and meetings – among which negotiations between foreign ministers and heads of state are planned- will be organized by Brazil’s leadership during the country’s BRICS chairmanship in 2025, citing Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira said as quoted by RIA.
He pointed out that the bloc is moving closer to the level of the G20 format with its agenda of continuing to strengthen BRICS members’ cooperation within the community.
“Starting January 1, we will chair BRICS and hold major ministerial meetings,” he said in an interview with the newspaper Estado de Minas. “BRICS has achieved significant momentum and is practically approaching the G20.”
